Over 30 participants from around Ukraine came to Kharkov to take part in a rally of leading Ukrainian translators. InText was represented by Stanislav Kalenyuk and Valery Legotin. The intention was, in addition to get-together part, to make the powwow practical and useful. Wide range of topics discussed included:
- Things important for beginners (standards and deadlines, software, etc.)
- Tasks and their solution at the established stage (search for clients, training of translators, optimization of translation process)
- Subcontracting, outsourcing, agency stage (administration vs. translation, difference in responsibilities and processes, etc.)
Finally, we wished each other good health discussing the health problems caused by too much work/time spent at one's PC and went out into the same heat for a chat and a walk about the town.
