Representatives of our Company attended TM-Europe 2008 annual conference in Warsaw (Poland) organized by the Polish Association of Translation Agencies, which was held on October 9-10, 2008 in the Marriott Hotel. The theme of the conference was "Translation Management - Customers, Vendors and Processes Management Today".

Conference was attended by managers of translation agencies and representatives from key global corporate customers for translation services from Europe, U.S. and other regions.

Our Company was represented by Executive Director Stanislav Kalenyuk and Senior Project Manager Kirill Fedotov.

They mentioned that the information they received during the Conference was quite meaningful and useful. The issues which were discussed included quality management, key efficiency indicators, brand management for translation agencies, relationships between translation agencies and freelancers, management of large localization projects for companies, such as Microsoft.

Interesting presentations were made by Dag Schmidtke (Microsoft), Rudy Tirry (Lionbridge Technologies), Andre Pellet (Proz.com), David M. Smith (LinguaLinx Language Solutions, Inc.). Those are being studied and discussed by InText staff. We see that our foreign colleagues are thinking over the same issues - therefore, their experience may be incorporated into our everyday work.

We are grateful to TM-Europe 2008 organizers (Peter Reynolds, in particular), other participants and presenters, and hope to get together again at TM-Europe 2009.
