On February 24, 2008, the meeting of translators was held in Donetsk which was dedicated to the discussion of the most pressing problems which are the cause of the increased concern for our colleagues in European and CIS countries. The emphasis was made on Ukrainian and German translation markets, therefore this workshop can be described as sharing experience between the translators of those countries.

This event was organized by Ms. Nadiya Kyrylenko, who presented a wonderful report. She gave a detailed account of the operation of German unions and associations of translators, made special mention of their role in the development of translation industry. Besides, the participants discussed pricing issues and other equally important matters of translators' work.
